WARNING by Tom Jensen
My eyes become half-closed
Towards everyone I’ve ever known
As I walk down this lonely road
I find even my heart is filled with ANGER
Oh yeah, you see lately I hurt
And it’s been getting worse
But I’m not stupid of course I’m the source
To everyone I love I’ve become a STRANGER
You might think it’s absurd that
Everyday I wear the same shirt
It’s black and on it says just one word
In red letters it reads: DANGER
If you’re here now then run
Because I’ve never been much fun
I take my problems out on any and everyone
Even my doctor said I’m a talker…maybe a stalker…
But certainly not a walker or a CHANGER
That’s my warning that it’s best to stay away
You see I got no smile lines chiseled on my face
Only a cross look and maybe one eyebrow raised
Ex-wife’s t-shirt has a picture of me and on it it says:
“Take a look at the only man that Jesus couldn’t save”
(in other words…he never behaved!)
