I
have cut the cord to television and the only things I watch on T.V. are some
UFC fights on ESPN. I keep up with South Park and Family guy on the internet
and like everybody else my age I out grew The Simpsons about a decade and a
half ago…
Is
it worth trying to design a new paradigm? A new pattern for people to follow –
is it worth it to try to set an example on how to be different? That’s a good
question…
Sometimes
you think that you lost your girl in a series of unfortunate events when in
reality that new dude had a diabolical plan all along which he enacted in order
to steal your woman from you. I’m THAT dude!
I
don’t keep up with a lot of current music but I am happy not to have missed
Lizzo’s GOOD AS HELL video and song. I have played that song about thirty times
to date… and one of the girls in that video is the most attractive woman I have
seen since… well, a long time…
I
must have been about twenty years old when I heard the most tragic story on the
news so I felt compelled to write a poem about it…
SHADOW
OF SMOKE is on page 99 in my book. That means that since I pretty much have a
poem or song per page and I put all my stuff in order from best to worst then
that means that there are roughly 100 things I’ve written that I think are
better than this one. That’s a quick way to think about my collection…
Would
you rather be caught in Los Angeles rush hour traffic or be caught drug
trafficking? My bet is that most L.A. folks would choose being indicted and
most dealers would take 2 miles per hour… Am I right or am I right?
Throughout
most of my life I have always been in a situation where I loved somebody and
somebody loved me but rarely were those the same person…
“I
am me so you can love it or leave it…” Wait… Come back!
When
you run out of ideas over how to explain to your significant other why the
relationship is over sometimes you must resort to vague terms like being a VICTIM
OF FATE…
HERESY
SPEAKS NO EVIL is a play on words in regards to the phrase ‘hear, see, speak no
evil…’ This one will make the dissidents proud and if we ever go marching in
the streets at least I’ve written lots of fun little ditties to get the crowd
all fired up!
HAPPY
PLACE is my attempt at making a super happy kids song-type vibe to it… I can’t
explain it but it’s got a nursery rhyme-like feel to it…
Here’s
another one for a female singer and she’s madly in love with the person she is
singing the song to and she wants to prove her love… It’s steamy!
Suddenly
there’s a fire in your house! You grabbed all the important stuff, right? Oops…
This one is all about trying to find a goal for your life... How do you live a life that suits your ambition?
