today’s world of high tech communication we can hide a lot of our true feelings
when we are not connecting in the same space. Sometimes you need to look
somebody in the eyes to know what they’re REALLY feeling…

It’s
scary but sometimes all it takes is the smallest little action or inaction by
somebody for you to change your entire opinion on them forever. And then that
changes everything.

One
of my biggest writing influences has been Noam Chomsky. His book Manufacturing
Consent inspired CEMENT and I even have my own category of poems and songs
listed as Chomskian. I consider some of those my best ones…
I’ve
probably written about fifteen hundred or so poems and songs in my life but
only about 400 of them or so are any good. Two-thirds of everything I write is
crap. Don’t forget that… That’s why you gotta keep on writing!
The
two differing dating/mating philosophies are to either try to mount everything
that moves or otherwise be patient and wait for the one… ONE NIGHT STAN is the
former while HEY WAITER is the latter…

Up
to this point I have had 127 songs made from my words. I have taken the best 50
and made lyric videos for them and I opened all the rest of the lyrics back up
to music again.

yet they go to church every Sunday. I’m not a fan of fake…
Back in my younger days I was very charismatic, enthusiastic and self-confident. It is the reason I have all these damn poems and songs! However, now that I’m 41 I need somebody with those same qualities to pick up and carry the torch for me… Thanks.
