I am 41 years old and I’ve had three cats in my life that I raised for a combined…let’s see… 17 plus 12 plus 14 equals 41. All that adds up to forty-one years of cat raising... My first cat, Bear, lived 17 years and I got the Boy the day after he died. Fluffy Butt was about 5 when we adopted her and she lived to about 17. The Boy is still kicking although he has diabetes and needs an insulin shot every twelve hours… ?

wrote this while living in upstate New York in a crappy little duplex. It was a
beautiful summer day and I was outside with my two kitties playing with my
neighbor’s two little girls. I think we were drawing with markers or making
paper airplanes. It was just a happy day and we were having the perfect summer
