SEEING IS BELIEVING by Tom Jensen
What gets me by
is getting high and
looking up at the sky
With the moon
in my eyes as I tell
myself lies as
another night slips by
And still I pretend
that I am the greatest
What gets me by
is getting high and
looking up at the sky
With the moon
in my eyes as I tell
myself lies as
another night slips by
And still I wait
for the day I can say
I finally made it
But then I went from
being a blaspemist
To seeing life through
the eyes of an optimist
It had nothing to do
with my optometrist
Yet I'll leave that between
me and my psychiatrist
Sure I'm still fighting the cold
When my thoughts
become too bold
Though there's no
more losing control
For when nothing's collected
there's nothing owed
As I fly as high as I can...
You had better watch out below
For the more I get
to know myself
The more I'm falling in love
Should I give thanks
to Charles Darwin?
Or to the lord with
my high praise above?
No matter, for now
I'll save that one for later
Be it Adam & Eve,
the serpent or an alligator
I believe I'm God's
greatest gift to evolution
For if you present to me
a problem I'll find
you a solution
So...tell me which
side are you on...
Do you or don't you
