PLUG AND PRAY By Tom Jensen
Swapping, plugging and playing…
Or meeting, pulling and praying
Here’s where I must weigh in
By saying it’s the same thing
When she said,
“You can stick it in…it’s alright…it’s okay”
With your device in her hand
She plugged and then she played
Sure, it comes with accord
But there’s no strings attached
Oh lord, just who has the time
For something like that?
It may get rusty, it may get dusty
Or maybe left out in the rain or sun
It don’t much matter to you now
After its job has been done…
Just use it, remove it and then lose it
No need to check for compatibility
Forget all about it until you need it
That’s when you remember
There are utilities and necessities
And then next comes the
Pleasures from the treasures
Of all of life’s little luxuries
(We’re all so fond of technology)
