OCEANSIDE by Tom Jensen
Here I sit by the
side of the ocean
Wondering just what
the ocean sees in me

Sometimes I wonder if
I should go swimming?
If in this game
I'm playing I'm winning?

And if when the man
in the moon looks down
He's really grinning?
And if there's a God
Does he always know
When I'm sinning?

And if there's a God
Did he know this is how
My world would be?

For it's three o'clock
in the morning
And I ain't been to bed

Still trying to sort out all those
Hopes and dreams
That've been floatin'
around in my head

It's all on my shoulders now
And there are still
answers to find
Somewhere and somehow

At least one more
mountain to climb
Pictured it in my mind
It's only been truly seen
by the blind
And traversed by the lame
With peaks of pleasure
Guarded by valleys of pain
Where once you've
tasted the water
You'll never be thirsty again
But the problem isn't where but when?
