NO SNOW by Tom Jensen
Well the mountains
have no snow
But that won’t last
very long we know
And once the trees
have lost their leaves
So it seems that
nothing much will grow
I will always remember
This last December
Oh how could I forget?
Find myself humming
the same tune
That I began in June
In every sunset
and each sunrise
I keep seeing
The same pair of eyes
While up above the nights
are becoming longer
All the while down here
my love keeps getting stronger
I’m a man without a nation
Living in my own world
after being badly beaten
I’d suffer from starvation
If love was something
that could only be eaten
In a land without an ocean
Is where I found my pearl
Half way around the world
She says, “Here I am”
– yeah, that’s my girl
