NAP TIME By Tom Jensen
Just need a book beside a brook
Your little nook to hide away
To escape from the trouble
You got into earlier that day
Since wherever you are
Is where you feel safe
Seems you always find yourself
In your favorite hiding place
Now your hair is blonde and straight...
But I remember when you had curls
It sure seems like a lifetime ago
Or dare I say from some other world
I know 'bout that wrinkle 'round your nose
That only shows when you're sad
And I know you tend to bite your lip
Every time that you get mad
I just can't believe you left
After all the happy times we had
I keep on staring at the door
Unwishing things I can't take back
Wondering what's in store...
What made you feel like that?
Now my eyes are red and sore
Time for me to take a nap
