MORSALS By Tom Jensen
Well kid, you finally paid your dues
It took you twenty-five years
To graduate from college
But you made it through school

Give a man a morsel of wisdom
And he can no longer be called a fool
You had your fun – now the time has come
What are you going to do?

I see a once prejudiced kid
Slowly uniting the races
Yeah, I’ve kept some of my feelings hid
In regards to peoples’ colors and faces

Sure, I could speak more of it
Things I thought or stupid things I did
Or how I was such a hypocrite
But institutions lie and time it flies
So why would I wanna throw s&%t?
Just to see if it sticks?
