You know that I write about what I’ve been through
You know that I’m right about what I hold true
You know the answer to why I’m here
And I know the answer to why you’re leaving
But you know some memories will never disappear
For you know you brought me nothing
But love and cheer
And I tried to bring you closer to yourself
And what you believe in
So now, my dear, I guess we’re even
It’s just so sad that the changing of the season
Seemed to come so fast this year
Sometimes everybody needs to plant a little seed
And seek the safety of a flower in this world of weeds
Sometimes everybody needs a little bit of relief
A little something to give you the power
To turn your words to deeds
And set your mind at ease
Even if only for an hour
It’s that every hour which we must seize
