HOMEWRECKER by Tom Jensen
Whenever she blows kisses they’re aimed at you
You know she’s married but there’s nothing you can do
I guess when apples fill your eyes
Nothing should ever comer as a surprise
Fate will steer the course
It’s not up to you to worry about divorce
So far the voyage hasn’t left the bay
Though there’s no telling how much longer
Things will stay this way
At least the docked ship has yet to cut its ties
There is no reason to make up alibis
When the christening starts the water gets deep
But as of right now you shouldn’t lose any sleep
Any time you’re the other guy
You find yourself wondering why
You know for sure you’d never make the first move
You don’t need to be a cop to read the clues
You continue to put it in the back of your mind
Although you know you’re running out of time
If poker was life then you’re two of a kind
And if the dealer is bluffing then the players are blind
