GLOBAL WARMING by Tom Jensen
The moving van is coming
Our troubles we’re out running
Gong to another place
Trying on another face
Going out fishing for another start
Holding and aiming another dart
Got the flint just need the spark
Maybe this time we’ll hit the mark
This game of life is where fortunes are made
To hell with aces and eights going for a flush of spades
In this land of dirty dealers, faith stealers,
cheap feelers, and guilt concealers
Surrounded by broken dishes, floating fishes,
fake kisses and ungranted wishes
Got to keep moving just to
stay above the water
And to think with global warming
that it’s only getting hotter
To sink or swim in either
spring water or gin
Getting healthy or getting sick
they both seem to do just the trick
