I've got a light inside me
And a big cloud hanging above me
That hides me

I've got unlimited potential
And all the key ingredients That are essential
To make somebody really, really happy
For I love to laugh
Even if everybody has lost their ass
While laughing at me
Yes, I smile because
I've got no ill will towards anybody
No, I don't ask for much in this world of plenty
Just to be needed and appreciated
For this element can't be understated
For this is the filament
Of the light that guides me
As I seek fulfillment
While running from this cloud
That tries to hide me
I've got these legs
That are starting to grow tired
I'm not a dog that begs
But I've been thinking it's worth trying

Rescue this hound from the pound
