DISTRACTIONS
It's getting too easy to get distracted
Once upon a time
I might have overreacted
But today I take it as the truth
So I'm taking some time
To retreat and regroup
Knowing I'm in this
For the Long haul
Sure I'll stand 'til I can't
But bend before I fall
For there is so much work
Ahead for me to do
I've learned how and when to say when
Because when you're me
You gotta do what you have to do
Just to be you
Class war ain't a battle
That is won in a day
It took thousands of years
For things to get to here
Millions of deaths
And billions of words
To brainwash the people
And hide and silence their hurt
I got a little work left on myself
To be the best I can be
But when I come back
I expect a hug when you see me walking the streets…
