DAY TO DAY by Tom Jensen
So many things I long to tell you...
So many words I've yet to say...
Of course I know how much you hurt inside
But it gets a little bit better everyday
Where do you look to find salvation?
Is it of this world or up on high?
Yet separating one's self from one's heart
Is far worse than the starvation of one's own mind
Often living in reality
Sinks to living in neutrality
And eventually impartiality
For soon you begin
living inside of a lie
As her thoughts scatter
She blinks her eyes
For her mind is rattled
To no one's great surprise
How much longer
Shall things carry
on this way?
There's only one
For sure who can say
She longs to give
Yet she still lives
day to day...
Day to dying day
