Crank out the legitimate lyrical hits
And also take and break the fake politicians
Yeah, I like to give ‘em sh*t
So… sure: you’d think that I’d be:
Stinking, filthy rich!
But when you’re born to a dirt floor
It makes you doubt yourself even more
And this is just part of the plan
Thought up by men known as the man
Though one of the better choices
For learning valuable life lessons
Is avoiding all toxins and poisons
Including thoughts and possessions
If life’s a riddle
As sometimes I question
Then she’s become my answer
Or at least a good investment
Won’t you just keep this between you and I
It wasn’t a lie that I might be the guy
Yet I still might put myself above her…
So don’t go telling her yet that I love her…
Because friends don’t let friends become lovers
Without first truly discovering each other
And quite honestly…that’s no place to want to be
If it would disrupt all sense of harmony
Ya know….the most important stuff that you can’t see
What you can trust besides the birds and the bees
And that we all return to dust quite literally
Sure sometimes I rhyme ‘til I’m blind
It healed me…this time
Together we paddled across this rough sea
