I have always encouraged musicians who turn my words into songs to feel free to change the lyrics, add their own lyrics and manipulate anything any way that they see fit. There are very few things, if any, that I have ever written that I felt were perfect as they were and couldn’t be improved.

I like to think of my poems as maps to get to somewhere. Sometimes there can be a detour along the way and you must veer off the charted course. That’s completely fine. I’m not a trained musician and don’t even know how to technically write a song. I’m just a wordsmith who gets lucky some times. Haha.

Random fact: I visited my aunt in Florida when I was around 20 or so and saw her feeding the birds in her backyard and thought it was a great idea so I have been feeding the local birds wherever I have lived for the past almost 20 years now. I have fed THOUSANDS of birds and other little creatures  during my time and it is easily one of my most redeemable qualities…

Just trying to knock the power of money down a few pegs on the most important thing in the world list, that’s all… Somebody's got to be the BRICKLAYER for that new path!

Sometimes the prettier face doesn’t always lead to happiness... That's something I've learned while LOOKING FOR LOVE...

Of COURSE my favorite book of all-time is A CATCHER IN THE RYE by J.D. Salinger – as if you even had to ask that question! Holden hated CONCRETE PEOPLE, too!

Bob Dylan, Rage Against the Machine, David Bowie, Elvis, Sinatra, Alanis, Pink Floyd, Weird AL, Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Aerosmith & Jimi Hendrix all have a place on my all-time best mix tape!

Sometimes you just need to take a break and hide out for a couple of weeks to recharge your energy. FOURTEEN DAYS is a reminder of that.

Every once and a while you get your heart broken so badly that just want to give up the game entirely and say NEVERMORE…

What is the maximum distance between age that two potential lovers should not cross? When I was twenty-one I had feelings for an older woman… Unfortunately, this one didn't end up being a love song... More like a MELODY OF SORROW...

We are all beautiful and we all have our inner beasts. Remembering that fact and learning to keep the beast in line is what this world is all about…

I drive a 2005 Minivan with 125,000 miles on it and there’s a Tulsi Gabbard for President bumper sticker on the back! Tulsi is either my second, third or fourth favorite woman alive depending on the day. Haha!

WHAT I'LL DO is whatever is in your best interests even if it means backing off to the point of losing touch…

TRYING TIMES is probably my most Country song made to date. I’m not sure how many other of my songs feature a harmonica. Haha!

I entered the Guinness Book of World Records back in 1997 when I had sexual relations with three different girls named Michelle in the same week during the first month of my freshman year at Framingham State College. The first one was a 10, the second one was about a 4 or 5 and the last one, well… her name was Michelle and I wanted a story for the grandkids… (proverbial grandkids, that is…)
